With the year's biggest December releases right around the corner, Paramount has launched the official trailer for IF, their eagerly awaited family-friendly fantasy film, which centers around a young "girl who discovers that she can see everyone’s imaginary friends — and what she does with that superpower — as she embarks on a magical adventure to reconnect forgotten IFs with their kids."

The film, which debuted its first footage during CinemaCon last year, is one of Paramount's buzziest titles heading in 2024, especially now that Mission: Impossible 8 has been pushed to 2025. Luckily, with Ryan Reynolds headlining, this is one that surely can't be missed and should serve as a nice appetizer to his second release of the summer: Marvel Studios' Deadpool 3

The massive ensemble cast features Ryan Reynolds, John Krasinski, Cailey Fleming, Louis Gossett Jr., Fiona Shaw, Bobby Moynihan, and Alan Kim, with the imaginary friends being voiced by Steve Carell, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Maya Rudolph, Vince Vaughn, Sam Rockwell, Sebastian Maniscalco, Christopher Meloni, Awkwafina, Jon Stewart, and Richard Jenkins.

With several major releases like WonkaAquaman and the Lost KingdomMigration, Anyone But YouThe Color Purple, and Ferrari all due out within the next few days, we'd imagine this brand-new trailer will be attached to, at least, a few of those films, so be sure to arrive early if you want to catch IF on the big screen before its Summer 2024 release date.

In addition to IF, Paramount's 2024 release calendar is shaping up to be quite impressive with a lineup including Mean Girls (January 12), The Tiger's Apprentice (February 2), Bob Marley: One Love (February 14), A Quiet Place: Day One (June 28), Transformers One (September 13), Smile 2 (October 18), Gladiator 2 (November 22), and Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (December 20).

IF hits theaters on May 17, 2024!

From writer and director John Krasinski, IF is about a girl who discovers that she can see everyone’s imaginary friends — and what she does with that superpower — as she embarks on a magical adventure to reconnect forgotten IFs with their kids. IF stars Ryan Reynolds, John Krasinski, Cailey Fleming, Fiona Shaw, and the voices of Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Louis Gossett Jr. and Steve Carell alongside many more as the wonderfully unique characters that reflect the incredible power of a child’s imagination.
