A new Mortal Kombat Legends animated movie was announced during Warner Bros. Entertainment's San Diego Comic-Con panel over the weekend, and this latest R-rated adventure will focus on one of the original MK arcade game's most popular characters, Hollywood icon, martial arts specialist, Jean-Claude Van Damme parody, and all-round egomaniac, Johnny Cage.
Set in the '80s, the movie will serve as a prequel to the first game, as we uncover how Cage became involved with the mystical realm known as Outworld and the titular tournament. Several other familiar faces will feature, including fellow Mortal Kombat OG, Raiden.
Plus, Dirty Dancing icon Jennifer Grey will voice... herself!
Mortal Kombat Legends: Cage Match will be available on October 17 to purchase Digitally from Amazon Prime Video, AppleTV, Google Play, Vudu and more. 4K Ultra HDTM and Blu-ray will also be available online and in-store at major retailers. Pre-orders start July 22.
