Amazon MGM Studios has released the full trailer for their upcoming action-adventure Christmas comedy Red One, offering a more in-depth look than the teaser. In the film, Callum Drift (Dwayne Johnson) and Jack O'Malley (Chris Evans) team up on a daring mission to save Santa Claus (J.K. Simmons).

The new trailer strikes a more serious tone compared to the previous one, shifting much of the spotlight onto Evans' character. This time, O'Malley is recruited by the North Pole to assist Johnson's head of security in an urgent rescue mission, adding a mix of suspense to the holiday adventure.

It seems the studio is intentionally focusing more on Evans following his positive reception after the teaser trailer. With his recent success in Deadpool & Wolverine, the studio appears to be capitalizing on his current popularity and bankability to draw in a broader audience.

The film's main villains remain a mystery, but we do get a brief look at Grýla (Kiernan Shipka), one of the antagonists. Exactly what she and her associates are plotting against Santa Claus is still unclear, leaving viewers curious about the film's twists.

Despite the festive fun, Red One faces challenges at the box office due to its rumored budget of over $250 million. Some reports have suggested that production costs spiraled due to Johnson’s alleged tardiness and unprofessionalism, though the studio has denied these claims. Whether the movie can overcome these hurdles and succeed at the box office remains to be seen, but it certainly has the potential to be a holiday hit.

The cast features Dwayne Johnson (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle; Black Adam), Chris Evans (Captain America: The First Avenger; Deadpool & Wolverine), 2x Primetime Emmy-nominee Lucy Liu (Kill Bill: Vol. 1; Charlie's Angels), Kiernan Shipka (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina; Mad Men), Primetime Emmy-nominee Bonnie Hunt (The Green Mile; Jumanji), Kristofer Hivju (Game of Thrones; The Fate of the Furious), 2x Primetime Emmy-nominee Nick Kroll (Big Mouth; Don't Worry Darling), Wesley Kimmel (The Book of Boba Fett; Good Girls), and Academy Award-winner J.K. Simmons (Whiplash; Spider-Man).

Jake Kasdan (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle; Jumanji: The Next Level) helmed the feature with a screenplay from Chris Morgan (Fast Five; Shazam! Fury of the Gods).

Red One hits theaters on November 15 and will stream on Prime Video at a later date!
