With The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes fast approaching, a new video has been released introducing many of the prequel's lead characters.
As you might expect, Coriolanus Snow (Tom Blyth) is put front and centre, though we also get better acquainted with Dean Casca Highbottom (Peter Dinklage), Dr. Volumnia Gaul (Viola Davis), and Sejanus Plinth (Josh Andrés Rivera).
This orientation video has suitably sinister undertones, and Rachel Zegler's District 12 tribute Lucy Gray Baird will have to match wits with these members of the Capitol's prestigious Academy. In the movie, the Hunger Games have yet to become an entertainment spectacle and Suzanne Collins' book introduced many staples from the original series.
Those included mentors, tribute interviews, and a host, so those of you curious about the origins of the Games will definitely need to check this movie out. While an origin story for Snow might seem like a strange story to tell, there are more than a few twists and turns along the way.
It sounds like tickets will soon be going on sale for the movie, so keep checking back here for updates.
