An exciting new trailer for Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 3 was unleashed at D23 this past weekend, showcasing the higher stakes, epic new trials, and adventures awaiting our beloved characters this season.

The trailer (which you can watch below) gave fans a vivid first look at Percy's relentless quest to find Annabeth, the mounting tension with the Titans, and a first glimpse at some exciting new cast additions.

On the upcoming third season, Walker Scobell previously teased to Mashable, "Listen, I love Season 2, and I love Season 1. Perfect, I love them so much. But there's something about The Titan's Curse to The Last Olympian that's just a completely new level, and it's just so different."

"They're getting older, and things are getting pretty serious with this Great Prophecy. It think it gets really difficult for them, because now things are real. They're not invincible — not like they weren't before, but they've seen how they're not invincible."

The third season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians premieres November 20 on Disney+. The first two seasons are currently available on the streaming platform.

The official synopsis for season 3 reads, "If Percy Jackson learned anything after completing two epic quests with Annabeth Chase, it’s that he would be lost without her. So when Annabeth is captured by the forces of Kronos, Percy must embark on a perilous journey to rescue her. He must free a goddess in chains, confront the Titan’s curse, and avoid triggering the fall of Olympus. With Grover by his side, Percy must join some unlikely questmates to confront a prophecy with dire consequences."

The series stars Scobell,Leah Sava Jeffries,Aryan Simhadri,Charlie Bushnell,Tamara Smart, and Levi Chrisopulos.

Actress Dafnee Keen, best known for playing X-23 in Logan and Deadpool & Wolverine, has joined the show to play Artemis. Zoë Nightshade will be portrayed by Saara Chaudry.

Ahead of season 3's release, fans of the book series are curious to see whether the show will be renewed for a fourth season. There was a reported drop in viewership for season 2 and  Disney has not officially announced a Season 4 renewal for Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

However, the showrunners and cast members, including Walker Scobell, have expressed hope and indicated they are planning with the final books in mind.

Created by Rick Riordan and Jonathan E. Steinberg, Season 3 of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” is executive produced by Steinberg, Dan Shotz and Craig Silverstein, alongside Rick Riordan, Rebecca Riordan, The Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Jeremy Bell, Bert Salke, James Bobin, Jim Rowe, Albert Kim, Sarah Watson and Tamara Becher-Wilkinson.
