THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RINGS OF POWER Episode 6 Promo Suggests Sauron Will Finally Be Unveiled

"You will be known at last for who you are... Lord Sauron."

Episode 5 of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is now streaming, and Prime Video has released a short preview for next week's sixth installment.

"Partings" dropped a few persuasive hints that "The Stranger" might turn out to be Sauron, and while that seems highly unlikely (more here), this promo certainly appears to indicate that The Dark Lord will be unveiled at some point during the episode.

The show finally introduced that mysterious group in white (one of whom was believed to be Sauron in his Annatar form early on), and they can be glimpsed here, seemingly performing some kind of ritual. Are they somehow facilitating the return of The Enemy, or is this yet another red herring?

Amazon Studios’ forthcoming series brings to screens for the very first time the heroic legends of the fabled Second Age of Middle-earth’s history. This epic drama is set thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, and will take viewers back to an era in which great powers were forged, kingdoms rose to glory and fell to ruin, unlikely heroes were tested, hope hung by the finest of threads, and the greatest villain that ever flowed from Tolkien’s pen threatened to cover all the world in darkness.

Beginning in a time of relative peace, the series follows an ensemble cast of characters, both familiar and new, as they confront the long-feared re-emergence of evil to Middle-earth. From the darkest depths of the Misty Mountains, to the majestic forests of the elf-capital of Lindon, to the breathtaking island kingdom of Númenor, to the furthest reaches of the map, these kingdoms and characters will carve out legacies that live on long after they are gone.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power stars Morfydd Clark, Benjamin Walker, Charles Edwards, Charlie Vickers, Markella Kavenagh, Nazanin Boniadi, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Tyroe Muhafidin, Maxim Baldry, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Owain Arthur, Trystan Gravelle, Sir Lenny Henry, Ema Horvath, Markella Kavenagh, Sophia Nomvete, Megan Richards, Dylan Smith, Leon Wadham, Daniel Weyman, and Sara Zwangobani.

The trio in white are all female. Not totally ruling out that the short-haired one could still be Sauron, but definitely limits the chances. The three of them could just be followers of Sauron and they are scouting the comet fall. the short-haired one could be the mouth of Sauron...???
