Detailed spoilers for The Rings of Power episode 4 follow.

The latest episode of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, "The Great Wave," is now streaming, and Prime Video has shared a brief preview of next Friday's installment.

This week, we learned a little more about the mysterious Adar (you'll find our theories here), who definitely seems to be some sort of corrupted Elf. The villainous Orc leader sends Arondir back to the watchtower of Ostirith to give Bronwyn and her people a message: surrender or die. Based on what we see here, it looks like they will choose to fight, and Adar prepares to launch his attack.

Back at Númenor, Halbrand is hesitant to follow Galadriel and Queen Regent Míriel back to the place he's been trying so desperately to leave behind. We still think this wayward King of the Southlands will ultimately become the Witch King of Angmar (more of that here), but it looks like his Elven companion will succeed in convincing him to return home to combat Sauron's encroaching forces.

Episode 5 will also bring us up to speed on The Harfoot migration, and it looks like Nori and her folk are going to fall foul of a pack of Wargs. Something tells us "The Stranger" will step in to lend a helping hand, proving his worth to the rest of the tribe in the process.

Check out the promo below, and let us know what you thought of episode 4 in the comments.

Amazon Studios’ forthcoming series brings to screens for the very first time the heroic legends of the fabled Second Age of Middle-earth’s history. This epic drama is set thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, and will take viewers back to an era in which great powers were forged, kingdoms rose to glory and fell to ruin, unlikely heroes were tested, hope hung by the finest of threads, and the greatest villain that ever flowed from Tolkien’s pen threatened to cover all the world in darkness.

Beginning in a time of relative peace, the series follows an ensemble cast of characters, both familiar and new, as they confront the long-feared re-emergence of evil to Middle-earth. From the darkest depths of the Misty Mountains, to the majestic forests of the elf-capital of Lindon, to the breathtaking island kingdom of Númenor, to the furthest reaches of the map, these kingdoms and characters will carve out legacies that live on long after they are gone.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power stars Morfydd Clark, Benjamin Walker, Charles Edwards, Charlie Vickers, Markella Kavenagh, Nazanin Boniadi, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Tyroe Muhafidin, Maxim Baldry, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Owain Arthur, Trystan Gravelle, Sir Lenny Henry, Ema Horvath, Markella Kavenagh, Sophia Nomvete, Megan Richards, Dylan Smith, Leon Wadham, Daniel Weyman, and Sara Zwangobani.
