AHSOKA: Multiple Actresses Have Been Cast As Younger Versions Of The Jedi; Will Ashley Eckstein Return?

A new rumour claims that multiple actresses have reportedly been cast to play different versions of Ahsoka Tano in Disney+'s upcoming Ahsoka series, but will The Clone Wars star Ashley Eckstein be among them?

Ahsoka Tano has quickly become one of the Star Wars franchise's most beloved characters, with her live-action debut in The Mandalorian celebrated by fans. Rosario Dawson took over the role from Ashley Eckstein in that series, though the latter continues to lend her voice to the hero in any and all animated projects.

Dawson later reprised the role - alongside Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker - in The Book of Boba Fett, and will next be seen in her own spin-off series Ahsoka.

There's a huge amount of excitement for the show, and Making Star Wars has now shared some new details. The site explains that we'll see Ahsoka Tano across multiple eras, primarily thanks to her visiting The World Between Worlds again. There, she will be able to revisit key moments from her life, including her younger years in The Clone Wars

We'll see Ahsoka in her teens, another currently undisclosed era, and the version we saw at the end of Star Wars Rebels in the white robes.

The latter is likely to be played by Dawson, of course, though another actress has been cast as the younger Ahsoka who isn't played by her or Eckstein. However, the site speculates that the latter could lend her voice to whoever this mystery performer is, creating a link between the animated and live-action versions of the character.

This all sounds like a really fun way to familiarise Star Wars fans who perhaps haven't watched The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels. It's become clear Ahsoka is vitally important to the franchise moving forward, and we're sure this spin-off series won't be the last time we see the former Jedi in action.

A lot of details are starting to find their way online about Lucasfilm's plans for the series, and you'll want to check back here a little later for some new intel on Darth Vader's return!

Ahsoka is set to premiere on Disney+ sometime in 2023.
