AHSOKA Set Photos Tease Plans To Explore An Ancient Jedi Temple In The Disney+ Series

Some newly revealed Ahsoka set photos have revealed what appear to be the ruins of an ancient Jedi temple. It's hard to make too much out, but we do see what looks like heavily weathered, crumbling walls that are clearly going to be enhanced with visual effects based on the blue screens also present.

Judging by that impressive staircase and what looks like the legs of a giant statue, something tells us this is a place with a great deal of history in the Force. Could it be part of Ahsoka Tano's journey to track down Ezra Bridger following the events of Star Wars Rebels? Thinking back to the way that show explored the history of the Jedi, we're anticipating Dave Filoni doing the same again here.

Ahsoka started shooting last month, with production expected to continue through most of 2022.

Cameras were originally expected to begin rolling sooner than that, but The Mandalorian season 3 reportedly delayed Ahsoka's start date. However, we don't anticipate seeing the show hit Disney+ until 2023, so that's unlikely to have caused any sort of change in when Lucasfilm plans to debut the series.

Rosario Dawson will return as Ahsoka in the show, while Hayden Christensen is also expected to appear as Anakin Skywalker. Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Ray Stevenson have been cast in undisclosed roles, while Natasha Liu Bordizzo will finally bring Sabine Wren to life in live-action. There's no word on who will play Ezra and Grand Admiral Thrawn, but both have reportedly been cast.

Heyden Christiansen will be all up in there with a lot of the D+ shows. I hope he's taken some acting lessons!
