Ahsoka Tano has become a huge part of Lucasfilm's Star Wars plans in recent years, with live-action appearances in The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. Next year, though, The Clone Wars standout will take centre stage in her own series, Star Wars Rebels follow-up, Ahsoka.
Rosario Dawson will reprise the role, while we know the show will also feature the live-action debuts of Sabine Wren and Hera Syndulla. Ezra Bridger and Grand Admiral Thrawn are also set to appear, but even with cameras rolling on the Disney+ series, there's still no word on who is playing them (the expectation, however, is that Thrawn will be among The First Order's founders).
We're hoping for news during this year's Disney+ Day, but how else will Ahsoka build on its title character's past? Fans of The Clone Wars will remember that she had a budding friendship with Bo-Katan Kryze, so could Katee Sackhoff's Mandalorian cross paths with the former Jedi?
During an appearance at Galaxycon Raleigh, the actor was asked about the chances of another Ahsoka/Bo-Katan team-up, this time in live-action.
"I love Rosario," she started before being asked directly where she'll appear in Ahsoka. "I like Rosario, so..." Sackhoff concluded with a laugh, and we think it's a safe bet that she will appear Ahsoka.
The show takes place around the same time as The Mandalorian, and given Bo-Katan's history with Ahsoka, we'd be shocked if Dave Filoni doesn't take the opportunity to have them share the screen in live-action. If it does happen, though, don't be surprised if Sackhoff's cameo is saved as a surprise.
Very little has been revealed about Ahsoka, though set photos showing the hero battling Darth Maul have been debunked. As for Sackhoff, she will return as Bo-Katan in The Mandalorian season 3 when the show returns to Disney+ next February.
