Bespin Bulletin has shared an interesting new detail about Andor, and it could have major ramifications for the upcoming Disney+ series. According to the site, the show is going to feature an appearance from Imperial Royal Guards. In case you need a reminder, they typically serve as bodyguards for Emperor Palpatine, leaving us to wonder whether that iconic big bad could show up in Andor.

Apparently, there are also rumblings that Mas Amedda is going to be part of the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story spinoff. He was Vice Chair of the Galactic Senate, later becoming Grand Vizier when Palpatine became Emperor and established the Galactic Empire.

The site has heard that we'll see these Royal Guards at the Senate, so chances are they're guarding Amedda. Various comic book tie-ins have shown them protecting him and Darth Vader, so an appearance from one, two, or all three of the villains certainly doesn't seem to be off the table.

Considering what an important role Cassian Andor played in stealing the Death Star plans, we can quite easily imagine him being part of a mission to try and assassinate Palpatine, Vader, or Amedda.

We'll have to wait and see, but fans have long wondered why Lucasfilm is looking to tell this story. Making it about an unsuccessful mission to kill the Emperor (remember, him being a Sith Lord was a secret to the Galaxy) would be fascinating, and we'll hopefully learn more at Star Wars Celebration.

Andor is expected to arrive on Disney+ later this year.
