OBI-WAN KENOBI Included An Unexpected, Awesome Cameo From SCRUBS Alum Zach Braff

Whew, what an episode that was, eh? We'll be bringing you more details about today's Obi-Wan Kenobi imminently, but there was a name in the credits you may have been surprised to see.

We are, of course, talking about Scrubs and Cheaper by the Dozen star Zach Braff. Initially, we thought Seth Rogen might have been lending his voice to Freck, the Empire loving alien who gives "Ben" and Leia a ride before selling them out to some Stormtroopers. In reality, that's Braff, marking a reunion with director Deborah Chow.

They first worked together in her directorial debut The High Cost of Living, and Braff has frequently talked about his friendship with Chow on his and Donald Faison's (who we're sure is very jealous) podcast Fake Doctors, Real Friends

Freck survives when all is said and done, so fingers crossed we see him appear somewhere down the line. For now, though, it feels like he got his just desserts.

Among the actors credited as Stormtroopers in this episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi are AJ Troup (Pam & Tommy), Shane Hartline (Rock of Ages), Ardeshir Radpour (Avatar: The Way of Water), Melanie Moslie (Rizzoli & Isles), and Will Westwater (Shameless). Braff was the big cameo, though, and we're sure a lot of the actor's fans will appreciate him joining this Galaxy Far, Far Away.

You can check out our recent interview with Braff in the player below (along with a shot of Freck).
