Star Wars fans have been hoping for news on Obi-Wan Kenobi season 2 after those first phenomenal episodes, and we now have what sounds like a very promising update from the Jedi Master himself, Ewan McGregor.

Over the course of six episodes, Obi-Wan Kenobi delivered plenty of exciting surprises and reveals. The story culminated with an epic lightsaber duel with Darth Vader and the return of Qui-Gon Jinn, setting the stage for where we find "Ben" in A New Hope

While that could quite easily be it for Ewan McGregor's Jedi Master, the series has left fans eager for more and there has to be room for additional stories to be told about the iconic character. After all, there are still another 10 years to go before the Jedi meets Luke Skywalker and embarks on one final adventure before falling to Vader in battle.

Whether Obi-Wan crosses paths with that Sith Lord again or we even get to see Star Wars Rebels' clash with Maul in live-action, a possible season 2 could take us to a lot of exciting places.

Talking during a recent Celebrity Fan Fest convention, McGregor, who also executive produced Obi-Wan Kenobi, shared an optimistic update about possible future plans. "I'm totally up for it guys, I wanna do it," he told delighted fans. "I'm absolutely honest, there is no plan to make one yet."

"But I think, I'm pretty sure they're just biding their time. But nobody's approached me as of yet."

Obi-Wan Kenobi was officially announced during 2019's D23 Expo, and with that event set to take place on September 10, we're hopeful Lucasfilm might surprise us with some big news. It's no secret that the show was a huge hit on Disney+, so the streamer would be wise to revisit this corner of that Galaxy Far, Far Away, even if it's a few years from now.

Smh....Wilding continues his shilling for Disney and Lucasfilm. Now personally, I enjoyed the Kenobi series overall, and I would like to see one more season. However, there was a lot in the series, especially in the first few episodes, that was stupid and/or unnecessary. However, while I liked the series, I have seen all kinds of evidence on social media that many other fans were either disappointed or pretty much hated it, so claiming that the series "has left fans eager for more" is stretching the truth of the situation. It left "some" fans wanting more, but to go beyond that is a lie. And no, it is NOT just racist fans who feel that way. I had little use for the character of Reva, she just wasn't really needed. Making her a white male wouldn't have changed that, it was her part in the plot that was stupid, so it's on the writer and director, not the actress (although I don't think she did that great a job in the role. She was kinda average.)
