Moses Ingram is perhaps best known for starring in Netflix's The Queen's Gambit, but the actress is set to take on her biggest role yet when she heads into a Galaxy Far, Far Away in this May's Obi-Wan Kenobi. Playing a newly created Sith Inquisitor called Reva in the Disney+ series, Ingram is expected to be the show's lead villain alongside the returning Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader.

As a result, there's an awful lot of intrigue surrounding what Reva will bring to the table, with the prevailing theory being she might have a history with Obi-Wan (remember, the Inquisitors are made up of former Jedi broken by Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader and turned to the Dark Side).

Talking to Entertainment Weekly, Obi-Wan Kenobi writer Joby Harold dropped some hints about what fans can expect. "I'm really excited for what she's doing to be seen because she contributes to the legacy of the Star Wars villain in a really interesting way in this story," he explains. "She brings her own energy to that world of silhouette villains. And I think that she's a worthy adversary, and the audience isn't going to be expecting what she brings either."

Director Deborah Chow added to that by saying, "I was really excited about this character, because it's a new one that is not from the animated series and it's also, for me, really exciting also to bring a female villain and to have a dark side woman of a very significant role. She's very ambitious and she's got a lot going on, and I think Moses just did a fantastic job with it."

It sounds like Ingram could steal the show here, and it will be interesting finding out whether Reva is a one-and-done character or someone we could see more of in the Star Wars Universe.

Star Wars Rebels and Jedi: Fallen Order proved that there's plenty to be done with the Sith Inquisitors, and you have to believe at least some of them survived following the Empire's fall. That's something we'd like to see addressed in Ahsoka, but there's currently no indication that will be the case.

Obi-Wan Kenobi arrives on Disney+ with its first two episodes on May 27.
