Obi-Wan Kenobi went through multiple iterations before Deborah Chow was tasked with directing the Disney+ limited series. Writer Joby Harold penned a big screen version of the story and ultimately helped turn that into a TV show, but the full list of scribes for episodes 1 - 5 have now been revealed.

So, what's noteworthy about the names we didn't know were part of Obi-Wan Kenobi? Beattie has a long list of credits, including Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Collateral, and I, Frankenstein. Friedman, meanwhile, has worked on TV shows like Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp and About a Boy, and scripted episodes of Disney+'s Willow revival.
The biggest surprise, however, is Andrew Stanton. The Pixar veteran has written everything from Toy Story to Wall-E and Finding Nemo, and his involvement is in equal parts unexpected and exciting.
Obi-Wan Kenobi is shaping up to be an incredible series, and there's understandably a lot of excitement surrounding the Jedi Master's rematch with Darth Vader. Throw in the Sith Inquisitors, a young Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker, and more of Ewan McGregor's "Ben" Kenobi, and this one can't get here soon enough. Hopefully, a new trailer will be released during Star Wars Celebration.
The first two episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi premiere on Disney+ on May 27.
