ROGUE ONE Character Finally Makes Their ANDOR Debut For A Tense Exchange In Today's Episode - SPOILERS

Today's Andor finally brings back another familiar face from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, offering some compelling insights into the formation of the Rebellion and where we found them in that movie...

Thanks to the trailers and posters for Andor, we've known for some time now that Forest Whitaker's Saw Gerrera would appear in the Disney+ series, and he finally showed up in today's episode, "Narkina 5."

Luthen Rael, desperate to get the Rebellion to continue taking bold steps forward, meets with Saw on Segra Milo. During a tense conversation between the two Rebels, we learn how differently they approach this fight against the Empire, with both arguing that the other must have been responsible for the heist on Aldhani.

Despite being allies, they clearly don't trust each other, and Luthen offers Saw various pieces of tech in exchange for his people embarking on a mission with Anto Kreegyr. The Rebel refuses to put his people at risk for someone else, and is clearly focused on his own plans.

They argue, and Saw refuses to work with a Separatist before naming all the different factions of Rebels who are out there. He believes they are lost, and it becomes easy to see why he was so isolated in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

Luthen once again reiterates his point that people will be more willing to rebel if they're oppressed by the Empire, sharing his fear that Emperor Palpatine will one day grow too powerful to stop. We're starting to see the formation of the Rebellion, but it's apparent that bringing them together won't be as simple as it might have first appeared.

Saw refuses to work with Luthen on this occasion, though we can't believe this is the last we've seen of the extremist. He has a couple of X-Wings outside his base, so it's obvious that there's more story to tell with him over the course of Andor's remaining episodes.

Also noteworthy is the fact this Saw is without the breathing mask and robotic legs he had in Rogue One. Could this show be where we learn how he sustained those injuries?
