SHADOW OF THE SITH Reveals Location Of Luke Skywalker's Jedi Temple...And It's From STAR WARS LEGENDS!

Fans have long wondered where Luke Skywalker's Jedi Temple is located, but a new novel, Shadow of the Sith, has finally revealed where the Jedi created his school following the events of Return of the Jedi.

We first visited Luke Skywalker's new Jedi Academy in Star Wars: The Last Jedi's flashbacks, later learning that Ben Solo had laid waste to the school - and its pupils - when he turned to the Dark Side and became Kylo Ren.

Of course, a tie-in comic book would reveal that Emperor Palpatine actually killed all of Luke's students using a Force Storm while posing as Supreme Leader Snoke. Making the hero believe that Ben was responsible drove the Jedi into hiding, further playing into Palpatine's grand plan to regain control of the Galaxy through The First Order.

The Book of Boba Fett recently showed us Luke's school being constructed, with Din Djarin watching on as construction droids put together what would eventually become the Rebel's very own Jedi Temple (where Grogu would decline Yoda's lightsaber and instead return to The Mandalorian).

There's been a lot of speculation about the Temple's location, and Adam Christopher's novel, Shadow of the Sith, has finally revealed that it's based on Ossus.

What's interesting about this is the fact it lines up with the old Expanded Universe. In that now-defunct canon, Ossus was a planet in the Outer Rim that was an old stronghold for the Jedi thousands of years before The Phantom Menace

Left barren and lifeless due to the events of the Great Sith War, Luke later discovered the planet and set up shop there. However, the new canon has already suggested Ossus might have been the location of the very first Jedi Temple, so that's presumably what led Luke there this time (we know he went on the hunt for Jedi artefacts after Return of the Jedi).

The version of Ossus we've seen is far from barren, and we'd be shocked if Ahsoka Tano doesn't return there in her upcoming solo series. We know that the Jedi Academy established there is ultimately laid waste to, but there's still a chance this planet will be an important part of future Star Wars stories, regardless of when they're set.

Do you have any theories about how Ossus could factor into the new Star Wars canon?
