Ahsoka star Natasha Liu Bordizzo recently took to Instagram to share a photo of an incredible gift given to her by showrunner Dave Filoni. Signed by various cast and crew, it also features a sketch of Sabine Wren that appears to reveal how the Star Wars Rebels character will look for her live-action debut next year.
It's pretty much in line with what we saw in animation, and that will be welcomed by fans.
Sabine's hair is a little longer than when we last saw her, but that was the case early on in Rebels, anyway. The biggest talking point, however, is completely unrelated to this artwork (which you can check out in the Tweet below).
StarWarsNews.net recently shared a speculative piece about Bordizzo making her debut as this hero in next February's third season of The Mandalorian. The site points out that it makes sense thanks to her history with the Darksaber and points to evidence they've unearthed about that show shooting around the same time cameras were rolling on Ahsoka.
Since then, Star Wars scooper Jordan Maison has taken to Twitter to confirm we will see Sabine in The Mandalorian, and that really does seem like a perfect place to have her debut.
It's important to remember that there will be many fans who have never watched Star Wars Rebels, so using the most popular live-action series to familiarise fans with the Ghost crew member is a smart move and one that should only help increase excitement for the story that will play out in Ahsoka.
