Star Wars Celebration turned the spotlight to The Mandalorian's upcoming third season in a big way, and while none of the footage shown has been officially released, those leaks were more than enough to whet our appetite. The trailers appeared to confirm that the fight to retake Mandalore will be a focal point, with that including the return of the legendary Mythosaur.
Now, Making Star Wars has shared a few very interesting new tidbits about the series, including the fact Katee Sackhoff's Bo-Katan Kryze will don a new Mythosaurian armour!
We're assuming that means she defeats the beast, with The Armorer outfitting her after a hard fought battle. What this means for Din Djarin is hard to say, especially as wielding the Darksaber technically makes him the planet's rightful ruler (though he did recently have his "Mandalorian" status stripped from him).
Even more exciting and intriguing is the fact Moff Gideon is also getting a new look in The Mandalorian season 3. The site explains that he'll wear a black Mandalorian helmet with horn on the top and the classic T-shaped visor; something tells us he probably isn't fighting alongside Din and company, and this brings back memories of what we've seen in The Clone Wars and Rebels.
We're guessing our first look at the show is still a while off, especially as it doesn't premiere until next February. However, with Disney+ Day taking place on September 8, we could get something then.
Stay tuned for the latest on The Mandalorian!
