Entertainment Weekly has debuted the official trailer and poster for The Orville: New Horizons, the upcoming third season of the Seth MacFarlane-fronted sci-fi comedy series, which is finally set to debut on Hulu after a three-year hiatus due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

While plot details are being kept under wraps, the new trailer does shed some light on what we can expect and introduce a few new characters that will be joining the Orville crew on their next batch of adventures.

The main cast for season three will feature Seth MacFarlane (Capt. Ed Mercer), Adrianne Palicki (Cmdr. Kelly Grayson), Penny Johnson Jerald (Dr. Claire Finn), Scott Grimes (Lt. Gordon Malloy), Peter Macon (Lt. Cmdr. Bortus), Jessica Szohr (Lt. Talla Keyali), J Lee (Lt. Cmdr. John LaMarr), Mark Jackson (Isaac), Anne Winters (Charly Burke), and Chad L. Coleman (Klyden).

The new season will also feature Norm Macdonald's last performance, as he was able to complete his voice work for Lt. Yaphit prior to his passing last September.

The Orville: New Horizons premieres June 2.

Seth MacFarlane’s epic space adventure series “The Orville” returns exclusively as a Hulu original series. Set 400 years in the future, “The Orville: New Horizons” finds the crew of the U.S.S. Orville continuing their mission of exploration, as they navigate both the mysteries of the universe and the complexities of their own interpersonal relationships.
