James Marsden (X-Men; Sonic the Hedgehog) made a surprise appearance during the Westworld panel at the ATX TV Festival yesterday, and revealed that he will be returning to the hit HBO series for season four in a recurring role.
Further details weren't provided, but it's likely that he'll play a new character rather than reprising his original role as Teddy Flood, who tragically killed himself in season two after realizing that Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) had altered his programming. His conscious mind was later uploaded to The Sublime.
He'll reunite with returning cast members Evan Rachel Wood (Christina), Ed Harris (William/The Man in Black), Thandiwe Newton (Maeve Millay), Aaron Paul (Caleb Nichols), Tessa Thompson (Charlotte Hale), Jeffrey Wright (Bernard Lowe), Luke Hemsworth (Ashley Stubbs), and Angela Sarafyan (Clementine Pennyfeather).
Aurora Perrineau, Ariana DeBose, Daniel Wu, and Lili Simmons are new additions to the cast, but it's likely we can expect some surprises throughout the eight-episode season as well.
Westworld season four premieres on June 26.
