Jonathan Majors has been dropped by his manager and PR team - but it seems reports of the actor potentially being replaced as Kang in the Marvel Cinematic Universe were premature.

According to Deadline, the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star has now parted ways with long-time talent manager Entertainment 360 and PR team Lede Company. The decision was said to be due to "issues of the actor's personal behaviour."

A few weeks ago, Majors was arrested after allegedly physically assaulting a woman in her 30s (believed to be his girlfriend) in a New York City apartment. The actor's lawyer claimed that her client was "completely innocent, and "probably the victim," promising to present evidence that would clear him of any criminal wrongdoing.

However, said evidence - a series of texts from the alleged victim - did not have the desired effect, and actually made Majors come out looking even worse.

Since then, we have been hearing whispers that Marvel Studios is weighing up their options and may even be looking at other actors to possibly replace Majors as Kang (Snowfall actor Damson Idris' name came up), but Deadline has heard that there have been "zero conversations" about recasting the role.

Of course, that could change very quickly. If no charges are filed, Majors will likely walk, but that won't prevent significant backlash from those that believe he is still guilty of assault (which is quite a few people after those texts) should Kevin Feige and co. decide to take no action.

Majors has already filmed his scenes for the second season of Loki, but isn't scheduled to begin shooting Avengers: The Kang Dynasty for "quite some time."
