The upcoming Jurassic World Rebirth is set to expand the franchise’s mythology by introducing a brand-new location: Site C.

Unlike the well-known Isla Nublar and Isla Sorna, this mysterious island served as a covert InGen research outpost, hidden from the public and even from many within the company.

Site C was not designed for tourist attractions or controlled exhibits. Instead, it operated as a testing ground for the most volatile and controversial genetic experiments, dinosaurs that were too unstable, aggressive, or unpredictable for any theme park.

It was here that InGen pushed the limits of science, creating creatures deemed too dangerous for mainstream use.

As seen in the behind-the-scenes look, it seems the Delgado family-  Reuben Delgado (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), Teresa Delgado (Luna Blaise), Isabella Delgado (Audrina Miranda), and Xavier Dobbs (Teresa's boyfriend) has their sailboat capsized by a mosasaurus.

They're rescued by Scarlett Johansson's Zora Bennett and Mahershala Ali'sDuncan Kincaid, who are in a submarine and are on a covert mission to Site C.

Now stranded on the same island, both groups must navigate a perilous environment crawling with prehistoric threats, including bizarre, mutated remnants of InGen’s failed experiments, which have evolved unchecked in the island’s isolation for decades.

What began as a recovery mission becomes a desperate fight for survival in a place where nature has been twisted beyond recognition

Filming for Jurassic World Rebirth was conducted between June and September 2024, with principal photography unfolding across a diverse range of international locations. The production team shot key scenes in the lush landscapes of Thailand, the historic streets of Malta, and various sites throughout the United Kingdom.

The main stars of Jurassic World Rebirth include Scarlett Johansson, who portrays the character of Zora Bennett, and Mahershala Ali, who stars as Duncan Kincaid.

Jonathan Bailey is featured as Dr. Henry Loomis, while Rupert Friend takes on the role of Martin Krebs. Manuel Garcia-Rulfo plays Reuben Delgado, with Luna Blaise as his eldest daughter, Teresa Delgado, and Audrina Miranda as his youngest daughter, Isabella Delgado.

Other key cast members include David Iacono as Xavier Dobbs, Philippine Velge as Nina, Bechir Sylvain as Leclerc, and Ed Skrein as Bobby Atwater.

The movie is directed by Gareth Edwards and written by David Koepp.

David Leitch, known for his work on John Wick, was originally slated to direct the upcoming Jurassic World installment. However, he ultimately exited the project, citing a lack of creative flexibility.

According to reports, much of the film’s direction had already been determined by the producers, leaving Leitch with little room to shape the movie according to his vision.

His departure came as the studio rushed into pre-production, eager to pivot from the mixed reception of Jurassic World Dominion.

While that film achieved massive box office success, crossing the $1 billion mark, it also received the franchise’s poorest critical reviews, prompting a reevaluation behind the scenes.
