While sci-fi franchises like Star Wars and Avatar typically dominate headlines, it's always fun to see an original tale told in this genre.
That's what 20th Century Studios is looking to deliver with the new movie No One Will Save You, and a first-look image for the captivating sci-fi psychological thriller has now been revealed.
The movie begins streaming on September 22, later this year, exclusively on Hulu in the U.S., Star+ in Latin America, and Disney+ in all other territories. We don't know why it's skipping theaters, but Prey is a great example of a movie that managed to find huge success by debuting on streaming.
No One Will Save You introduces Brynn Adams (Kaitlyn Dever), a creative and talented young woman who's been alienated from her community. Lonely but ever hopeful, Brynn finds solace within the walls of the home where she grew up 0 until she’s awakened one night by strange noises from decidedly unearthly intruders.
What follows is an action-packed face-off between Brynn and a host of extraterrestrial beings who threaten her future while forcing her to deal with her past. Written and directed by Brian Duffield, the film features music by composer Joseph Trapanese.
Tim White, Trevor White, Allan Mandelbaum and Duffield produce, and Dever and Joshua Throne executive produce.
If you're looking for a full cast list, then you're out of luck as Dever is currently No One Will Save You's sole confirmed star. We're unsure whether this means she's the movie's sole star or if further details will follow.
However, we're guessing this image will soon be followed by a trailer that offers a better idea of what to expect from the movie.
Duffield is known for writing movies like The Divergent Series: Insurgent, Love and Monsters, and Netflix's Skull Island. His previous directing credit is for Spontaneous. As for Dever, you'll know her best from her work in Justified, Unbelievable, and Booksmart.
