Prey is the newest entry in the Predator franchise, and we now have another batch of stills from the Hulu Original before it arrives on the streaming service on August 5.

As well as offering a closer look at the reboot's lead characters, we finally get a much closer look at the redesigned Predator. This movie follows members of the Comanche Nation and is set in the 1700s, meaning it marks what we believe will be the iconic alien's first visit to Earth.

While we definitely appreciate a closer look at the warriors that will square off with the Predator, this is the first time we've got to see the monster in all its glory. After hiding it in shadow, for the most part, or just showing it from behind, this is a welcome sight and one that proves this new take on the alien is one that the team working on this reboot has absolutely nailed.

It definitely looks less sci-fi and more like a warrior, but that makes sense when this story is set hundreds of years before the events of 1987's Predator.

Prey tells the story of a young woman, Naru, a fierce and highly skilled warrior who has been raised in the shadow of some of the most legendary hunters who roam the Great Plains.

So when danger threatens her camp, she sets out to protect her people. The prey she stalks, and ultimately confronts, turns out to be a highly evolved alien predator with a technically advanced arsenal, resulting in a vicious and terrifying showdown between the two adversaries.

The movie is directed by Dan Trachtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane), written by Patrick Aison (Jack Ryan), and also stars newcomer Dakota Beavers, Stormee Kipp (Sooyii), Michelle Thrush (The Journey Home), Julian Black Antelope (Tribal), and Dane DiLiegro (American Horror Stories) as the Predator.
