Were you champing at the bit for a new Spy Kids movie? Well, you're getting one anyway!

Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for Spy Kids: Armageddon, which will introduce a new family of tech-savvy espionage specialists, this time played by Gina Rodriguez, Zachary Levi, Everly Carganilla and Connor Esterson.

Robert Rodriguez, who directed all previous entries in the franchise, will also helm this latest instalment.

Armageddon is being promoted as a reboot, but we've heard that it may serve more as more of a "requel" will some ties to the earlier movies.

“When the children of the world’s greatest secret agents unwittingly help a powerful Game Developer unleash a computer virus that gives him control of all technology, they must become spies themselves to save their parents and the world,” reads the synopsis.

Racer Max co-wrote Spy Kids: Armageddon, which also stars Billy Magnussen, Everly Carganilla and DJ Cotrona.

David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger produced for Skydance, along withy Elizabeth Avellan and Max. Spyglass’ Gary Barber and Peter Oillataguerre executive produced.

The movie is set to premiere on Netflix in September 22.
