We're still waiting on a trailer for The Toxic Avenger (it should be released fairly soon, so keep an eye out), but the movie had its world premiere at FantasticFest over the weekend, and we have a first glimpse of Game of Thrones alum Peter Dinklage in full make-up as Toxie.
The image was leaked online as part of a brief video, and while it's not the clearest shot, we can make out that this new take on the grotesque hero of the title retains the overall design of the original, with a few minor changes.
Director Macon Blair recently revealed that this version of Toxie will actually take influence (in part, at least) from The Toxic Crusaders animated series, which is evident from the more green-than-brown colouring.
The first reviews for the remake are also online, and it's currently sitting at a very impressive 93% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The Toxic Avenger was first introduced in the 1984 movie of the same name from indie studio Troma Entertainment, and has since gone on to achieve cult status with several sequels, a comic book series and even a short-lived 1991 children's animated show called The Toxic Crusaders.
No theatrical release date has been announced.
