With the movie a little over a month away, Paramount Pictures has started pulling out all the stops when it comes to hyping Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

Following the release of that first clip earlier today, we now have a new batch of character posters highlighting Autobots Optimus Prime, Optimus Primal, Mirage, Bumblebee, Arcee, and Wheeljack. They all look, well, like the Transformers we've come to expect from the CG-heavy franchise, but is Paramount taking inspiration from Michael Bay for this latest outing?

The filmmaker's vision for these characters was divisive, but his movies earned billions of dollars at a time that wasn't necessarily commonplace for Hollywood blockbusters. Steven Caple Jr. is behind the camera for Rise of the Beasts, though the vehicular action on these posters feels very Bay-inspired.

Bumblebee, which dialled things back a little, wasn't a huge box office success, so the studio may be taking an "if it ain't broke" approach to this instalment.

Check out these new Transformers: Rise of the Beasts posters in the Tweet below.

"Returning to the action and spectacle that have captured moviegoers around the world," reads the synopsis, "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will take audiences on a '90s globetrotting adventure with the Autobots and introduce a whole new breed of Transformer – the Maximals – to the existing battle on earth between Autobots and Decepticons."

The cast is led by Hamilton star Anthony Ramos, with Dominique Fishback, Luna Lauren Vélez, and Tobe Nwigwe joining him. Peter Cullen will once again lend his voice to Optimus Prime, while Ron Perlman has stepped in to play Optimus Primal, the leader of the Maximals.

Peter Dinklage, Liza Koshy, John DiMaggio, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Pete Davidson, and Cristo Fernández also star.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is set to be released in theatres on June 9, 2023.
