Paramount Pictures has just released its "Big Game" TV spot for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, and the spotlight is put squarely on Mirage (and a little bit of vehicular product placement, of course).

The Porsche 911 Carrera RS 3.8 is based on the G1 character of the same name. He was a member of affluent Cybertronian society before the war, and has always struggled to earn the trust of his fellow Autobots. Sometimes dubbed a "Decepticon sympathizer," his attitude isn't to everyone's liking, but he's always been there to lend Optimus Prime a hand when needed.

We don't know how much of that will translate to the screen, but the animated Mirage also has the ability to create illusions which typically either render him invisible or make him appear to be somewhere he isn't.

The movie looks like a fun ride based on what we see here, but another full-length trailer would definitely be welcomed.

Returning to the action and spectacle that have captured moviegoers around the world, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will take audiences on a '90s globetrotting adventure with the Autobots and introduce a whole new breed of Transformer – the Maximals – to the existing battle on earth between Autobots and Decepticons.

As for the cast, that's led by Anthony Ramos, with Dominique Fishback, Luna Lauren Vélez, and Tobe Nwigwe joining him. Peter Cullen will once again lend his voice to Optimus Prime, while Ron Perlman has stepped in to play Optimus Primal, the leader of the Maximals.

Not too long ago, we learned that the movie has added Peter Dinklage (Scourge), Liza Koshy (Arcee), John DiMaggio (Stratosphere), David Sobolov (Rhinox/Battletrap), Michaela Jaé Rodriguez (Nightbird), Cristo Fernández (Wheeljack), and Tobe Nwigwe (Reek).

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is set to be released in theatres on June 9, 2023.
