Say what you will about the Transformers franchise, but each time a new movie is released, that means we're able to get hands-on with even more cool toys! The upcoming Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will be no exception, of course, and thanks to Screen Rant, we have a first look at action figures based on Battletrap and Bumblebee's respective likenesses.

The latter is obviously an icon, and previously appeared in his own 2018 movie (that laid the groundwork for this reboot by moving away from Michael Bay's approach to storytelling).

As for Battletrap, David Sobolov will lend his voice to the character who is newly created for Rise of the Beasts. As part of the Terrorcons, he isn't allied with the Autobots or Decepticons, and looks seriously badass. The movie's G1 aesthetic is definitely appreciated, and we expect more toys from the movie to be revealed soon.

The official description notes that "The 6.5" action figure for boys and girls can convert from robot to licensed GMC tow truck mode in 30 steps and comes with a mace accessory that attaches to the figure in both modes."

As for Bumblebee, "The 4.5" action figure for boys and girls can convert from robot to licensed Chevrolet Camaro in 23 steps and comes with the Stinger Blaster and arm blade accessories that attach to Bumblebee in both modes."

Returning to the action and spectacle that have captured moviegoers around the world, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will take audiences on a '90s globetrotting adventure with the Autobots and introduce a whole new breed of Transformer – the Maximals – to the existing battle on earth between Autobots and Decepticons.

As for the cast, that's led by Anthony Ramos, with Dominique Fishback, Luna Lauren Vélez, and Tobe Nwigwe joining him. Peter Cullen will once again lend his voice to Optimus Prime, while Ron Perlman has stepped in to play Optimus Primal, the leader of the Maximals.

We also recently learned that the movie has added Peter Dinklage (Scourge), Liza Koshy (Arcee), John DiMaggio (Stratosphere), David Sobolov (Rhinox/Battletrap), Michaela Jaé Rodriguez (Nightbird), Cristo Fernández (Wheeljack), and Tobe Nwigwe (Reek).

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is set to be released in theatres on June 9, 2023.

Battletrap appeared in G1. He was a Duocon who turned into Ford F150 Camper truck and an AH64 Apache that combined into the robot mode.
