On Monday, The Bad Batch creative team Brad Rau, Jennifer Corbett, and Athena Portillo were joined by actors Dee Bradley Baker and Michelle Ang to discuss highlights from the second season as the Bad Batch continued their journey navigating the aftermath of Order 66 and the rise of the Empire.

Fans in attendance were treated to a first look at season 3, while it was also confirmed that will be the show's last.

The sneak peek confirmed that Ming-Na Wen's fan-favourite bounty hunter, Fennec Shand, will return alongside Nala Se, Captain Rex and, most surprisingly, Commander Wolffe. The third and final season of The Bad Batch is set to arrive on Disney+ in 2024.

9. Andor Season 2 First Look Revealed

The cast and creators of the highly acclaimed Disney+ original series, Andor, were on hand to treat fans to an exclusive first look at the second and final season on Friday.

That's currently in production and chronicles the next steps in Cassian's journey as he fights to assemble a fledgling resistance. It's been confirmed that Andy Serkis will return as Kino Loy, and a full description of that teaser trailer can be found by clicking here

Showrunner Tony Gilroy also revealed that he expects the Rogue One prequel to premiere sometime in August 2024.

8. Return Of The Jedi's 40th Anniversary Re-Release

Return of the Jedi is currently celebrating its 40th anniversary, and a panel looking back at the movie's legacy ended with the news that it's returning to theatres on April 28.

While not necessarily the most beloved movie in the original Star Wars trilogy (that honour surely goes to The Empire Strikes Back), we're sure many of you will jump at the chance to see the epic finale on the big screen.

Check out the poster - which was handed out to those in attendance on Sunday - below.

7. Lars Mikkelsen Is Grand Admiral Thrawn

Rumours have swirled for months that Lars Mikkelsen will reprise his Star Wars Rebels role as Grand Admiral Thrawn in Ahsoka, though the actor has repeatedly denied that.

In an extended trailer for the series shown during Saturday's panel for the Disney+ series, Mikkelsen's face was shown, confirming that he is indeed playing Thrawn. We can assure you that he looks fantastic as the villain, and the actor then arrived on stage much to the delight of fans in attendance.

He didn't have a lot to say about returning to the role due to the level of secrecy surrounding Ahsoka, but it sounds like it was always going to be him. You can check out the regular teaser below.

6. Star Wars: Visions Returns

The Star Wars: Visions Volume 2 panel was filled with an abundance of reveals ahead of the series' May 4th release, including first story details for all nine shorts, casting, the trailer (which you can watch below), and more.

Executive producers Josh Rimes, James Waugh, and Jacqui Lopez discussed the success of the show’s first season and teased how Volume 2 will continue to push the boundaries of Star Wars storytelling, with nine new shorts from nine studios from around the globe.

Filmmakers from each studio also shared how they incorporated their country’s history and culture into their stories and created original characters that fit into this Galaxy before those lucky enough to be in attendance got to see Aardman's "I Am Your Mother" early.

5. Dave Filoni Is Finally Getting His Own Star Wars Movie

Expanding upon Star Wars storytelling in the present, Dave Filoni will orchestrate the escalating war between the Imperial Remnant and the fledgling New Republic in a movie of his own.

Alongside producer Jon Favreau, The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels creator will bring together many of the threads of the Star Wars original series in a cinematic event. That's going to conclude the stories we've seen play out in The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and upcoming shows like Ahsoka and Skeleton Crew.

We don't have a release date or title but this is a movie definitely worth getting excited about.

4. A First Look At The Acolyte

Leslye Headland, creator and showrunner of The Acolyte, hit the stage alongside a Jedi Wookie to share a first look at the highly anticipated mystery-thriller set during the High Republic Era.

Taking viewers into a Galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers in the final days of the High Republic era with the story of a former Padawan who reunites with her Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes but discovers the forces they confront are more sinister than they ever anticipated.

The trailer, which hasn't been released online, was terrific and a full breakdown of what happens can be found right here.

3. Jude Law's Skeleton Crew Role Is Revealed

Skeleton Crew star Jude Law was joined on stage on Friday by three of his young co-stars, Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Kyriana Kratter, and Robert Timothy Smith (Ryan Kiera Armstrong was unavailable to attend due to illness).

The series, set in the same timeframe as The Mandalorian, follows the journey of four kids who make a mysterious discovery on their seemingly safe home planet, then get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. Finding their way home - and meeting unlikely allies and enemies - will be a greater adventure than they ever imagined.

A full list of directors for the Disney+ series was revealed along with a trailer and confirmation of who Law is playing; you can learn about all of that by clicking here. It was also confirmed that Skeleton Crew is still heading our way later this year.

2. The First Jedi

During the event, the Star Wars timeline increased significantly with the addition of a number of new eras. Among them was "Dawn of the Jedi," with Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny director James Mangold set to write and direct the movie.

Taking us deep into the past, it will tell the tale of the first Jedi to wield the Force and harness it as a liberating power in an era of chaos and oppression.

How far back are we going? Try 25,000 years. The filmmaker compared it to a "Biblical epic," and it's clear we're going to finally learn the origins of the Force in a way not even the Expanded Universe material tackled.

1. Daisy Ridley Is Returning As Rey

Rey-Skywalkers-Lightsaber-copy

As well as the distant past, Star Wars will head into the future, with a new film directed by Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy set 15 years after the last events of the Skywalker Saga.

The film will star Daisy Ridley reprising her beloved role as Rey and tells the story of rebuilding the New Jedi Order and the powers that rise to tear it down. The actress hit the stage and sent those in attendance into a frenzy, and this may well be the movie which fixes the mistakes made by the sequels and, specifically, The Rise of Skywalker

This story takes place in what's been dubbed the "New Jedi Order" section of the Star Wars timeline.
