Ahsoka is fast approaching, and for those of you who hate nothing more than seeing a new episode of your favourite show with a runtime under 40 minutes after signing into Disney+ on a Wednesday, we have some great news.
The runtime for this month's two-episode premiere has been revealed and, in total, they'll clock in at a feature-length 1 hour, 36 minutes.
We don't have the specific runtime for each episode, but that's an average of 48 minutes each, a sign that we'll be spending a fair bit of time with Ahsoka Tano in this corner of the Galaxy Far, Far Away. Hopefully, that remains the case for all eight instalments of the latest Star Wars TV series.
There's a huge amount of excitement for this Star Wars Rebels follow-up, particularly after Ahsoka's live-action appearances in The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. With Dave Filoni's movie on the horizon, we're expecting this to be a crucial lead-in.
Stay tuned for updates as we have them!
Set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.
In addition to Rosario Dawson in the title role, the series stars Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, the late Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, and Eman Esfandi appearing as Ezra Bridger.
Ahsoka was written by Dave Filoni, who executive produces alongside Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck. Directors include Filoni, Steph Green, Peter Ramsey, Jennifer Getzinger, Geeta Vasant Patel, and Rick Famuyiwa.
Ahsoka will launch exclusively on Disney+ on August 23 with a two-episode premiere.
