In recent weeks, it's become apparent that Ahsoka will reveal that the title character began training Sabine Wren as a Jedi before abandoning her for reasons which aren't currently clear.
Star Wars Rebels strongly hinted that the Mandalorian might be Force-sensitive and this newly released featurette explores the relationship between Master and Padawan. Explaining how knowledge is passed down, we follow the Jedi teachings from Qui-Gon Jinn to Obi-Wan Kenobi to Anakin Skywalker to Ahsoka Tano...to Sabine.
It could be a misdirect, but we're massively intrigued by what this potentially means not only for her but this corner of the Galaxy moving forward; if Sabine does indeed become a Jedi, then what does that mean for what we ended up seeing in the Star Wars sequels? Was she off dealing with an even greater threat than even Emperor Palpatine?
Time will tell, but this video also features new footage from Ahsoka and a funny story from showrunner Dave Filoni in which he recalls how George Lucas decided Anakin would have a Padawan.

Set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.
In addition to Rosario Dawson in the title role, the series stars Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, the late Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, and Eman Esfandi appearing as Ezra Bridger.
Ahsoka was written by Dave Filoni, who executive produces alongside Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck. Directors include Filoni, Steph Green, Peter Ramsey, Jennifer Getzinger, Geeta Vasant Patel, and Rick Famuyiwa.
Ahsoka will launch exclusively on Disney+ on August 23 with a two-episode premiere.
