Day two of Star Wars Celebration London is now underway, and we just got confirmation that Star Wars Rebels actor Lars Mikkelsen will return to play Grand Admiral Thrawn in live-action for the upcoming Ahsoka Disney+ series!

Mikkelsen provided the voice for the lethally calm villain in the third season of the acclaimed animated series, and did such a fantastic job that it was really difficult to picture anyone else taking over as the ruthless Chiss.

When we last saw Thrawn, he was being dragged through hyperspace by the Purrgil along with Ezra Bridger to parts unknown. The character will be integral to Ahsoka, as a large part of the story will focus on the fan-favorite force-wielder attempting to track him down and put an end to him once and for all.

During the panel, we also learned that the directors for the series will be: Dave Filoni, Steph Green, Peter Ramsey, Jennifer Getzinger, Geeta Patel and Rick Famuyiwa
