At this point, it's no secret that Hayden Christensen will reprise the role of Anakin Skywalker in Ahsoka. While not confirmed, both he and Rosario Dawson have played coy about his appearance in the Star Wars Rebels follow-up, strongly hinting we will see The Chosen One again.
A number of reliable sources have also reported on the actor's return following Obi-Wan Kenobi. That's news which has been welcomed by fans who have happily and enthusiastically welcomed Christensen back into the Star Wars fold following prequel movies Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith.
Now, an official merchandise listing on Amazon has seemingly well and truly let the Loth-cat out of the bag.
"Stop looking for fashion help in Alderaan places!" it exclaims. "Add a little out-of-this-world style to your wardrobe with some truly epic officially licensed Star Wars graphic tee shirts, sweatshirts, and hoodies!"
"Transport yourself to a galaxy far, far away with cool new apparel featuring Ahsoka Tano, Sabine Wren, Anakin Skywalker, Mon Mothma, and all your favorite Star Wars Ahsoka characters!"
And there you have it.
While speculation continues to run rampant that Anakin will appear as a Force Ghost (Ahsoka takes place roughly five years after the events of Return of the Jedi), it's thought Christensen will be part of flashbacks to The Clone Wars and a scene which recreates Ahsoka Tano's duel with Darth Vader in Rebels.
Set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.
In addition to Rosario Dawson in the title role, the series stars Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, the late Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, and Eman Esfandi appearing as Ezra Bridger.
Ahsoka was written by Dave Filoni, who executive produces alongside Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck. Directors include Filoni, Steph Green, Peter Ramsey, Jennifer Getzinger, Geeta Vasant Patel, and Rick Famuyiwa.
Ahsoka will launch exclusively on Disney+ on August 23 with a two-episode premiere.
