With just a few days to go before the fourth episode of Ahsoka hits Disney+, we have potentially very exciting news about the show's most mysterious character, Marrok.
That's a name we're sure many of you are getting sick of hearing, but speculation continues to run rampant that the character is everyone from Sam Witwer's Starkiller to a corrupted Ezra Bridger. At this stage, anything less than a seismic reveal could prove to be a disappointment.
Bespin Bulletin has shared a very interesting rumour today, based on now-deleted comments from a Reddit user who seemingly has some inside intel about the Star Wars Rebels follow-up.
Apparently, we can expect Marrok's true identity to be revealed in this Tuesday's fourth episode of Ahsoka.
No additional details, such as who it is beneath that rusted helmet, have been shared but the episode is clearly going to put an end to the speculation once and for all. Rosario Dawson recently confirmed the big lightsaber battle seen in the show's trailers will take place in this instalment, so it makes sense for Marrok to be unmasked on Seatos, likely setting the stage for the second half of the season, in the process.
In fact, an identity reveal would make for quite the cliffhanger, though we should probably point out that it's not outside the realm of possibility Marrok is just Marrok, a Sith Inquisitor we previously haven't met who is now a mercenary!
You can actually take a closer look at Marrok's lightsaber in the video below.
Set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.
In addition to Rosario Dawson in the title role, the series stars Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, the late Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, and Eman Esfandi appearing as Ezra Bridger.
Ahsoka was written by Dave Filoni, who executive produces alongside Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck. Directors include Filoni, Steph Green, Peter Ramsey, Jennifer Getzinger, Geeta Vasant Patel, and Rick Famuyiwa.
The first three episodes of Ahsoka are now streaming on Disney+.
