AHSOKA TV Spot Confirms Hayden Christensen's Anakin Skywalker Return And Teases THE CLONE WARS Flashback

Lucasfilm has released an extended TV spot for Ahsoka, starting the 10-day countdown before the series premiere on Disney+.

Packed full of never-before-seen footage from the Star Wars Rebels follow-up, Hayden Christensen's long-rumoured return as Anakin Skywalker has finally been confirmed. As Ahsoka Tano reflects on leaving her Master and the Jedi Order, we hear him speaking to her at the start of The Clone Wars

This suggests we're getting flashbacks to that animated series, albeit in live-action. It makes sense when there will be viewers who are likely unfamiliar with the animated series and Ahsoka's backstory (many fans actually met her for the first time in The Mandalorian).

Seeing more of Christensen as Anakin will be a real treat, though, and we only hope rumours of him suiting up as Darth Vader are also correct.

Check out this newly released Ahsoka TV spot below.

Set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.

In addition to Rosario Dawson in the title role, the series stars Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, the late Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, and Eman Esfandi appearing as Ezra Bridger.

Ahsoka was written by Dave Filoni, who executive produces alongside Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck. Directors include Filoni, Steph Green, Peter Ramsey, Jennifer Getzinger, Geeta Vasant Patel, and Rick Famuyiwa.

Ahsoka will launch exclusively on Disney+ on August 23 with a two-episode premiere.
