Andor is a prequel to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (which was, uh, a prequel to A New Hope), so we obviously all know how Cassian's story ends. Could that explain why Lucasfilm has been a little less careful than usual in protecting spoilers for this Wednesday's finale?
With still days to go before it drops on Disney+, various plot points and screenshots from the episode have begun surfacing on various websites and social media platforms.
We will NOT be sharing any of those here, but it's worth being extremely careful online because some "fans" are, unfortunately, ruining many of the biggest surprises. It appears a member of the press is responsible for the leak as screeners for the finale have been sent out and they're cropped to hide the journalist's email address.
It's a real shame to see something like this happen, and it could well lead to Lucasfilm no longer sharing early screeners with critics. That was always the case with The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and Obi-Wan Kenobi, so we're not sure what changed with the critically acclaimed Andor.
With any luck, you can now avoid spoilers heading into Wednesday's finale as it's worth going in with fresh eyes.
The show presents Star Wars from a different perspective, focusing on everyday people whose lives are affected by the Empire. The decisions they make have real consequences, and the stakes for them - and the Galaxy - couldn’t be higher.
Diego Luna returns as Cassian Andor and is joined by cast members Genevieve O’Reilly, Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller and Fiona Shaw. The executive producers are Kathleen Kennedy, Tony Gilroy, Sanne Wohlenberg, Diego Luna and Michelle Rejwan. Tony Gilroy is also the creator and showrunner.
The season finale of Andor arrives on Disney+ this Wednesday.
