Today's episode of Andor saw Cassian and Kino Loy come together to stage a jailbreak. Rising up against their captors, the prisoners manage to overpower the Imperials and tear through the floating stronghold. Along the way, Andy Serkis delivers one of the best performances of his career, inspiring his men to fight back with a chill-inducing speech.

Ultimately, they fight their way to freedom and reach a platform with their only means of escape: a huge jump into the water below. They can swim to shore, of course, but there's a slight problem.

In one of the most devastating Star Wars moments in recent memory, Kino turns to Cassian and admits, "I can't swim."

A perplexed Cassian seems to be mulling over ways to help his newfound ally, but is pushed from the platform into the water below when the rest of the prisoners make their bid for freedom. As a result, we don't see what becomes of Kino, though it appears he will remain stuck in that floating prison.

There's a chance we'll see him next week, but we have a bad feeling poor Kino's fate will be left up in the air. Either way, it feels like death awaited him. At the end of the episode, Cassian and Rogue One's Ruescott Melshi make a bid for freedom across the barren wastelands of the planet, and it's clear that leaving there won't be as easy as it may have first appeared.

Elsewhere in Andor, Mon Mothma learns that Davo Sculdun will only give her access to the money she needs if her daughter marries his son. We also find out Supervisor Lonni Jung is secretly working for Luthen Rael, and learn more about why the Rebel is so committed to the cause in a blistering scene with Stellan Skarsgård.

All in all, this was a terrific episode of Andor and one that sets the stage for a very exciting final couple of episodes.
