ANDOR Star Andy Serkis Is Hoping Supreme Leader Snoke's Story Will Continue In The STAR WARS Universe

We first met Supreme Leader Snoke in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and fans immediately started coming up with theories about who the mastermind behind the First Order must really be. Emperor Palpatine or his one-time Master, Darth Plagueis, were among the most popular suggestions, though things took an unexpected turn in The Last Jedi.

In that divisive movie, Snoke was killed by Kylo Ren, ending his story with no answers as to who he was. The Rise of Skywalker later went into damage control mode, of course, explaining (sort of) that the villain was a failed Palpatine clone who the Emperor controlled through the Force.

Andy Serkis played Snoke, but has returned to the Star Wars Universe to play Andor's Kino Loy.

Talking to Jake's Takes, the actor was asked whether he'd like to discuss the Supreme Leader with George Lucas and strongly hinted that he hopes to tell more stories with the villain.

"First of all, I would love him to think about furthering Snoke, actually," the actor said. "I think I'd say to him, 'Look, I don't think we've seen enough Snoke.' I think people would love to see more Snoke. And really, really infill the whole lore behind Snoke because I think there's so much fertile ground that has yet to be covered."

That fertile ground will more than likely be explored in The Mandalorian. In that series, we've seen that Moff Gideon appears to have a vested interest in cloning, while there have also been hints that his Imperials are behind Snoke's creation. If so, there's a very good chance that the show will tell the villain's origin story and how he came to be in control of The First Order.

Only time will tell on that front, but for now, Serkis continues to impress in Andor. We can't say too much, but rest assured you won't want to miss what comes next for Kino in Wednesday's episode!

As for The Mandalorian, the show's third season arrives on Disney+ next February.
