ANDOR, THE MANDALORIAN Season 3, And More Also Expected To Arrive On Blu-ray - But What About OBI-WAN KENOBI?

We recently learned that the first two seasons of The Mandalorian will arrive on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray SteelBook this December. Star Wars fans have waited a very long time for this, but what about the rest of Lucasfilm's Disney+ offerings?

According to the YouTube account In Search of Physical Media, Disney is planning to release The Book of Boba Fett, Andor, and The Mandalorian season 3 in the same SteelBook format next year.

This is great news, but we're sure many of you will be wondering why there's no mention of Obi-Wan Kenobi. While the YouTuber asked whether the series is getting a 4K release, he claims to have heard nothing back. It's possible Disney plans to leave a larger release window for that specific series, of course, though we also can't discount the possibility its physical media debut hinges on how well the other SteelBooks do.

It's also said that these physical releases will likely be limited editions, meaning additional copies may not be issued down the line. With that in mind, waiting to purchase these could be a mistake if you're a Star Wars fan.

There are many other Star Wars TV shows fans would like to see hit Blu-ray, including The Bad Batch, the final season of The Clone Wars, and Star Wars: Visions. Seeing as they're animated, that seems far less likely.

Hopefully, we'll have some official news to share with you soon.

The journeys of the Mandalorian through the Star Wars Galaxy continue in season 3. Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin has reunited with Grogu. Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to lead the Galaxy away from its dark history. The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.

The series stars Pedro Pascal, Katee Sackhoff, Carl Weathers, Amy Sedaris, Emily Swallow and Giancarlo Esposito. The directors of the eight-episode season 3 include Rick Famuyiwa, Rachel Morrison, Lee Isaac Chung, Carl Weathers, Peter Ramsey, and Bryce Dallas Howard.

Favreau is the showrunner/head writer and serves as an executive producer along with Dave Filoni, Rick Famuyiwa, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson. Karen Gilchrist and Carrie Beck are co-executive producers.

All three seasons of The Mandalorian are now streaming on Disney+.

I'm still waiting for season 2 of" Resistance!" Not sure why Disney is dragging their feet on issuing hard copies of media.
