Did AHSOKA's Latest Episode Feature An Unexpected Link To THE MANDALORIAN And Grogu? - Possible SPOILERS

Ahsoka is setting the stage for a lot of very exciting new stories set during The New Republic Era, but did the latest episode link Ahsoka Tano's journey with The Child's in The Mandalorian season 3?

Outside of a surprise appearance from Captain Carson Teva, we're not expecting any lead characters from The Mandalorian to appear in Ahsoka.

While we're sure the likes of Din Djarin, Sabine Wren, Bo-Katan Kryze, and Hera Syndulla will all cross paths eventually (likely in Dave Filoni's planned Star Wars movie), this series isn't necessarily the right place to make that happen. However, there may have been one crossover we all missed this past Tuesday.

In the closing moments of "Shadow Warrior," Ahsoka Tano and Huyang make the leap into hyperspace courtesy of the Purrgil after the former Jedi is able to connect with them through the Force. Their destination? The Galaxy where both Ezra Bridger and Grand Admiral Thrawn have spent the past few years trapped.

While Ahsoka has given us a detailed look at the Purrgil, this isn't the first time we've seen them in live-action. That actually came during The Mandalorian season 3's premiere when Grogu, travelling through hyperspace with Din Djarin, spotted them outside of their starfighter's cockpit window.

Many fans are now convinced that what Grogu was actually seeing was a glimpse of Ahsoka's journey, suggesting the events of both shows take place around the same time (this might also explain Captain Pellaeon's mention of Thrawn during that meeting with Moff Gideon).

Given Ahsoka and Grogu's history, we also can't discount the two having a connection of some sort.

The Purrgil being on Seatos adds up as it's clearly a pathway to another Galaxy, but it's feasible Din and Grogu briefly found themselves in a neighbouring hyperspace lane. Alternatively, the space whales may have been attracted to The Child's location due to how strong in the Force he is.

It's fun to think about Ahsoka and The Mandalorian being linked in this manner but until it's confirmed by Lucasfilm, this will remain little more than a fan theory.

Set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.

In addition to Rosario Dawson in the title role, the series stars Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, the late Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, and Eman Esfandi appearing as Ezra Bridger.

Ahsoka was written by Dave Filoni, who executive produces alongside Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck. Directors include Filoni, Steph Green, Peter Ramsey, Jennifer Getzinger, Geeta Vasant Patel, and Rick Famuyiwa.

The first five episodes of Ahsoka are now streaming on Disney+.
