We recently told you about plans for Obi-Wan Kenobi to introduce a young Jedi called Nari who has been searching for the former Jedi Master since shortly after the events of Order 66. Now, Making Star Wars has revealed more details, including the fact he does eventually find "Ben" on Tatooine.

Pursued by Sith Inquisitors, the former Padawan confronts Obi-Wan and attempts to convince him to start a new Jedi Order. The hero is having none of it, though, and tells Nari that if he hopes to survive, he should bury his lightsaber in the sand and move on. The war was lost and the Jedi are no more; needless to say, the young man is dejected, and moves on, leaving "Ben" be.

When Obi-Wan is later forced to leave the planet in an effort to rescue Princess Leia, he sees something in the distance at the Tatooine spaceport: Nari's body, put on display by the Inquisitors to send a message. With that, the fallen hero realises he's let another young Jedi down and the site mentions that we will see a de-aged Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker in a flashback that "reminds us of the consequence of [Obi-Wan Kenobi's] failures."

These spoilers likely come from very early in Obi-Wan Kenobi, and we're definitely intrigued to see how things play out from here. We'd bet on those flashbacks revisiting the events of The Clone Wars, though Christensen will, of course, be bringing Darth Vader to life in this story's setting as well.

Obi-Wan Kenobi will premiere on Disney+ on May 25 and can't get here soon enough.

As much as I hate it (because it’s so heavy handed), having Obi-Wan forced to save Leia from some peril is the only thing (other than Luke) that makes sense to draw him out of exile and actually away from Luke.

We’ll see how it goes.
