Darth Vader will return in Obi-Wan Kenobi, and we now have some new details on what to expect from the Sith Lord in the upcoming Disney+ series. We're anticipating seeing the title character clash with his former apprentice, but Making Star Wars has now shared some fresh intel on what to expect.
The Mandalorian stunt performer Dmitrious Bistrevsky will reportedly play Vader in scenes where he's primarily standing around "looking menacing." Tom O’Connell, meanwhile, will be handling the lightsaber battles, so it'll be him in the suit if and when the iconic villain does battle his former Master.
Finally, there's Hayden Christensen. The actor, who played Anakin Skywalker in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, will be shown as the character when he's in his Bacta tank and whenever Vader's helmet is removed. Apparently, we'll also see the actor as Anakin prior to his turn to the Dark Side and in various flashbacks exploring his point of view and role in the Clone Wars.
The site adds that James Earl Jones is expected to return as Vader's voice, so fingers crossed that happens as it's hard to imagine the iconic Sith Lord minus the actor's uniqu voice.
It can't be too much longer before we get a first look at Obi-Wan Kenobi, especially now that The Book of Boba Fett has wrapped up. The series is still expected to hit Disney+ this May.
