Obi-Wan Kenobi wasn't without its flaws, but for the most part, the series really struck a chord with fans. Picking up with "Ben" 10 years after the events of Revenge of the Sith, we found the Jedi Master on Tatooine cut off from the Force and completely disillusioned after the events of Order 66.

After being tasked with protecting Princess Leia and learning Anakin Skywalker was now Darth Vader, Obi-Wan eventually regained his mojo and the show ended on a positive note when he defeated the Sith Lord and reunited with Qui-Gon Jinn's Force Ghost.

We can probably fill in the gaps from there, and while we're sure old Ben embarked on more adventures - Star Wars Rebels confirmed Maul comes looking for the hero - leaving Obi-Wan Kenobi as a limited series would be no bad thing. Fans, however, are eager for more!

As it happens, so is Ewan McGregor.

The actor has talked openly about wanting a second season, something Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy has made clear isn't currently in the works.

Talking to The Direct, Princess Leia actress Vivien Lyra Blair - who reunited with McGregor at Star Wars Celebration this past April - cast doubt on possibly playing the character again but offered some insights into her co-star's thoughts.

"Well, I think a lot of people are asking me, 'Will we get a second season of 'Obi-Wan'?' And I honestly, I think it’s very much a possibility because Ewan [McGregor] is just begging to do another one. He’s really excited."

"I would love to, but I was saying like, I don’t see how I would fit into it, because it’s very implied that she doesn’t see him again until she asked for help in the fourth movie, 'A New Hope.' And so, I think it’s kind of like, how would I fit into that? And so we’re kind of hoping for my own show there."

"We’re kind of thinking it could be fun to do a show of Leia on Alderaan. And I really hope something like that could work out."

That sounds like a spin-off with real potential to us, though Lucasfilm's current priority appears to be getting new movies into theaters (Lucasfilm recently shared release dates for each of them). While the studio's Disney+ plans beyond next year are a mystery to us, we're sure more streaming content is planned.

Stay tuned for updates.
