Mace Windu ended up being one of the Star Wars prequels' breakout characters, and much of the credit for that goes to the legendary Samuel L. Jackson.

In Revenge of the Sith, we saw Windu go to confront Chancellor Palpatine after learning he was secretly the Sith Lord Darth Sidious. Anakin Skywalker interrupted their clash, ultimately choosing to help Palpatine by severing Windu's hand before his new Master used Force Lightning to seemingly throw the hero to his death.

Jackson has made his interest in reprising the role known on countless occasions, sharing his belief that there's a chance Windu could have survived the fall. It's certainly not outside the realm of possibility that the Jedi is in hiding somewhere after being gravely injured, but what does Hayden Christensen think?

Talking to MTV News about the popular theory, the Obi-Wan Kenobi star responded, "If Sam Jackson wants it to be true, I wouldn't want to disagree with that."

In a separate interview with Screen Rant, Ewan McGregor was asked to share his take on that. "No. No. I don't think so," he admitted. "Is he? No, no, no. Anything is possible. It's not for me to say, really. I can't be cheating someone out of a sequel. No, I don't think so. I think he went out that window, and it was a long way up."

It's worth noting that in Revenge of the Sith's screenplay, George Lucas wrote that Windu "falls twenty stories to his death." Disney can always go back on that, of course, but it's pretty difficult to figure out where he could fit into Lucasfilm's current plans for the Star Wars franchise.

Are you hoping to see more of Jackson as Mace Windu in this Galaxy Far, Far Away?
