Lucasfilm's first spin-off movie, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, was met with positive reviews and a $1+ billion box office haul.

In theaters, many fans noticed some big changes had been made to scenes in the trailers, and it's no secret the third act was heavily reworked. Tony Gilroy is widely believed to have taken charge of reshoots, though filmmaker Gareth Edwards was thought to have remained involved.

Andor, a prequel series spearheaded by Gilroy, hasn't featured any input from Edwards. That's a shame when he was so instrumental in bringing Diego Luna's Cassian Andor to the screen in the first place, but he has been busy with other things.

Talking to Screen Rant, The Creator helmer revealed whether he's watched the Disney+ spin-off as a fan.

"Okay, full disclosure, we finished [The Creator] on Friday. I have not seen it," Edwards admitted. "I have not seen any TV. I've not seen any of the Disney+ anything. The only thing that I've seen is the ILM documentary, the Light of Magic, which is a phenomenal documentary, but I haven't had a chance."

"I'm sure I'll get back to you about it, but I saw the trailer when it came out, we were shooting at Pinewood at the time, and it looked fantastic. It's in, obviously, very great hands, and I'm excited for everybody that's involved."

If control of Rogue One was indeed wrestled from Edwards during reshoots, there's probably a good chance he doesn't want to watch Andor. However, we'll take him at his word as it does sound like the director has had a busy few years developing his latest sci-fi epic.

In The Creator, amidst a future war between the human race and the forces of artificial intelligence, Joshua, a hardened ex-special forces agent grieving the disappearance of his wife, is recruited to hunt down and kill the Creator, the elusive architect of advanced AI who has developed a mysterious weapon with the power to end the war...and mankind itself.

Joshua and his team of elite operatives journey across enemy lines, into the dark heart of AI-occupied territory, only to discover the world-ending weapon he’s been instructed to destroy is an AI in the form of a young child.

The Creator is set to be released in theaters on September 29.
