STAR WARS: Here's The Latest On THE MANDALORIAN Season 4 Potentially Being Developed As A Movie

A rumor recently did the rounds online which claimed that Lucasfilm and Jon Favreau may be considering bringing The Mandalorian to the big screen, essentially developing the fourth season of the Disney+ Star Wars series as a movie.

The rumor stemmed from the notion that Favreau and Dave Filoni may struggle to develop two seasons of Disney+ shows that will serve as prerequisites for Filoni’s upcoming theatrical film. Apparently, the plan would be to combine The Mandalorian's season 4 scripts with Filoni's ideas for a movie that would release after the planned Rey-focused project.

It always seemed a little far-fetched, and there have been conflicting reports since, but The Hot Mic's Jeff Sneider has now weighed in by basically dismissing the rumor completely.

Disappointing for some, no doubt, but keep in mind, Filoni's movie is expected to serve as a culmination/conclusion for all of the Disney+ Star Wars shows currently playing out in the same timeline, so we will almost certainly see Din Djarin, Grogu and their allies on the big screen at some point.
