At Star Wars Celebration this weekend, Ubisoft revealed the trailer and details for the upcoming Star Wars Outlaws expansion, A Pirate's Fortune.
The action adventure game's second story pack will arrive on May 15th and will take players "on an adventure with pirates and lost treasures."
"Embark on a mysterious adventure with Kay and Nix to explore the Khepi system and learn what it takes to be a true leader," Ubisoft detailed. "Team up with legendary pirate Hondo Ohnaka and face off against Stinger Tash and her Rokana Raiders as you infiltrate the Khepi Tomb to uncover the secrets and hidden treasures it holds. Along the way, they’ll discover the Miyuki Trade League who offer new rewards for the Trailblazer in exchange for smuggling dangerous goods across the galaxy."
In order to access A Pirate's Fortune, you must have first completed the main storyline from the first game. The expansion will be automatically accessible for those who own the Season Pass, and can also be purchased standalone for $14.99. The Season Pass was included with the Gold ($109.99) and Ultimate ($129.99) Editions of the game. For everyone else, you can purchase it for $39.99, and also gain access to Story Pack 1, Wild Card. In celebration of this weekend's event, Ubisoft is currently offering a 50% discount on the Deluxe and Gold Editions of the game.
In addition to the story expansion, Ultimate and Deluxe Edition owners will also receive the Naboo Nobility and Desert Nomad cosmetic packs. Accompanying the expansion's release will be a free Title Update that will also gift all players cosmetic items inspired by the Star Wars: Skeleton Crew series, for Nix and the speeder.
Star Wars Outlaws was released last year to generally favorable reviews. The open-world action-adventure game is set between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi with a story that follows Kay Vess, a young scoundrel who takes on an high stakes heist mission to secure her freedom and the means to start a new life, along with her companion Nix. While the game was generally praised as a fun intergalactic heist adventure, its formulaic design was hindered by its simple stealth mechanics and repetitive combat. The game was also marred by numerous bugs and glitches at launch.
Those those still on the fence, Ubisoft is giving you a chance to experience the life of a smuggler through a free, three-hour demo that's now available on all platforms.
Star Wars Outlaws is currently available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Ubisoft also confirmed it will be launching on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 on September 4th.
