Respawn Entertainment announced several new Star Wars video game titles back in 2022, including a mysterious strategy game, the sequel to Fallen Order (which wound up being Star Wars Jedi: Survivor), and an untitled first-person-shooter.

Now, we have word that the FPS is going to feature a Mandalorian protagonist.

We don't know if it'll actually be based on The Mandalorian Disney+ series, but Insider Gaming is reporting that the title will "let players control a Mandalorian bounty hunter during a time when the Empire is dominating the galaxy."

We doubt it'll be Din Djarin under the helmet, but that doesn't mean the former bounty hunter turned father figure to Grogu won't make an appearance.

Details are sparse, but the story is said to follow the Mando protagonist as he captures bounties dead or alive for cash rewards. The game will reportedly be focused on “mobility” and “style” as guiding principles.

"The game’s high mobility has been made possible storytelling-wise thanks to the Mandalorian’s jetpack, which allows the player to perform horizontal dashing, vertical jumping, boost sliding (somewhat similar to sliding down hills in Apex Legends), and more. Sources described the game as very fast-pace, and as such will reward players who play in this style; for example, the player’s health will mainly regenerate based on successive kills. As to be expected, playing as a Mandalorian bounty hunter gives the player a wide variety of weapons and gadgets including a wrist rocket, grapple hook, a visor for tagging enemies and bounties, and more."

The untitled game doesn't have a release date, but if this is accurate, we expect an official announcement fairly soon, so be sure to keep an eye on GameFragger.com for updates.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a canon single-player video game in the Star Wars Jedi franchise. It was developed by Respawn Entertainment and released by Electronic Arts as a sequel to the 2019 game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. It was announced on January 25, 2022, along with an untitled strategy game and first-person shooter. Its title was revealed along with early details about the game's setting in a CGI teaser trailer that premiered at Celebration Anaheim on May 27, 2022.

The game is the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (2019), taking place five years after the events of the previous game and continues the adventure of young Jedi Knight, Cal Kestis, as he and his friends continue in their struggle to survive the tyranny of the Galactic Empire.
